The Golden Gate park Senior Center has a variety of programs to suit all tastes. The site is designated for Seniors, 55 years and older only, and is open 7 days a week. New and innovative programs are being developed. Call to have a weekly program schedule sent to you , or check our website @ www.parks.sfgov.org. We have monthly birthday celebrations and parties for all major holidays.
A montly newsletter is published and is available on the 1st of each month. We take weekly walks in Golden Gate park and other Bay Area locations (when van is available). We offer Spring, Summer & Fall Casino trips and 2 Reno overnight trips a year (call for more infomration.). Dance instruction in Hula, ballroom, Line Dance, Round Dance, Chinese Folk Dance and International Dance. Portrait Painting on Monday, Drop-in Painting on Tuesday and City College ARt instruction on Wednesday. Jewelry Making class on Monday. Craft Classes during the spring and summer months. Music Makers singing group meets on Wednesday. movies on a big screen TV on weekends. Senior Community Garden on sige. Current events discussions on Friday and story telling group once a month. Volunteer opportunities are available. |
